[ADD-ONS] [CRISIS] Explain to me why I might want the Crisis Accessory Pack, please!

Crisis uses most, but not all of the project cards in Ares (and expansions, promos). The Crisis accessory pack is over 200 cards, all the crisis playable cards released to date. The Crisis Accessory Pack lets you have two decks of project cards, one specifically for playing the Crisis Coop Mode, and a second deck for competitive Ares play.

There are about 80 cards (of almost 300 cards in total) in Ares Expedition that are not compatible with Ares. You can simply discard these 80 cards as you draw them as they are pretty easy to identify - cards with metric requirements (oxygen, temperature, oceans), reference milestones, or three named cards. But some players will want to have two separate decks, and that is why we are offering the Crisis Accessory Pack.

Cards in the Crisis accessory pack will have different backs, and a symbol on the front to designate that they are specifically for use in Crisis. Cards in the base game and other expansions are not marked specifically as Crisis compatible cards, because we didn’t design Crisis until after the base game had been released.

So the Crisis Accessory pack will be a ‘nice to have’ item for some people, but it is not necessary.

[ADD-ONS] [CRISIS] What is the Accessory Pack Sleeve add-on about?

First, please above about the Crisis Accessory Pack.

If you get the Crisis Accessory Pack, you might also want to get Ares specific sleeves for those cards. We decided to go with the project card back for this sleeve pack, you will still be able to sort the deck of cards in the Crisis Accessory pack based on a symbol on the front of each card. Also there is a card divider that you can use to separate the Crisis specific deck of project cards from the the deck of project cards you’ll use for competitive Ares.

[ADD-ONS] Can I get the original Terrforming Mars game, expansions or the Big Box?

All the Terraforming Mars games, including Big Box will be in the pledge manager for US and Canada only.

[BOXES] Does "Discovery · Foundations · Crisis" always come in a big box? Can I pick and choose which expansions I get?

For this Kickstarter, all the expansion materials will come in one bigger box that will hold the base game, all the expansions and promos (fully sleeved).

Rewards for this project also include a few ‘quality of life improvements’: - a new game board, with more space for player cubes on the scoring track - a new back side to the game board, that includes an alternative scoring track with even more room. - two resource cube trays that are slightly smaller to better fit vertically. - a handful of corrected cards (slight typos) - two smaller clear cubes for the oxygen and temperature tracks

At retail, each of these three expansions will come in an individual, smaller box that holds just the expansion materials. Everything will fit in the base game box, very tightly and without the insert.

[PLEDGE] I just want to know what I need if I backed the last KS and got everything already before.

If you already have the stuff from the last Kickstarter, this is what you will want to add:

Reward

Discovery · Foundations · Crisis

$49.00

Add-ons

NEW! Expansion Custom Sleeves

$30.00

NEW! Expansion Metal Resource Cubes

$23.00

Custom Sleeves for Accessory Pack

$25.00

Crisis Accessory Pack

$20.00

The last two are specific to Crisis expansion only.

Then of course, if you want playmats, pick the quantity you want (says at front of the title) - if you got 4 in the last campaign, you will only need 2 to have enough for 6 players.

[RELEASE PLANS] Will this be in Target like the last campaign?

No, it will not!

[PLEDGE] I am new to the game - what do I need to catch up from the last Kickstarter?

To get up to date on the original KS you will want to pledge for:

Reward : Base of Operations $89 Add-ons: Ares Expedition Kickstarter Promo Cards $10

You do not need to add the Dual Layer Player Boards as they are part of the Ares Expedition Collector’s Edition included in the Base of Operations pledge level:

All of the other ‘Add-ons’ are totally optional.

[PLEDGE] I bought Ares at Target or my local game store - what do I need to catch up from the last Kickstarter?

If you have the Target version of Ares, then you are missing the Ares KS Promo cards and the Dual Layer Player boards and will want to include those add-ons. You are also missing two resource cube holders, we will include two resource cube holders in every copy of the expansions sent as part of this project.

If you have the hobby/’Collector’s Edition’ of Ares, then you are missing the Ares KS Promo cards and will want to include that add-on.

[TYPO ON PLEDGE LEVEL] Select Add-Ons now on the next screen for the best price! Prices increase after the campaign ends.

This is a copy/paste error (blame Kira!) - The prices are the same in the pledge manager and late pledge. We will give notice before this window closes.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
