White Box Samples & Color Proofs Have Arrived!

Happy June and an early Happy 4th of July!

We are excited to share with you today the samples we received for white box approval and color approvals. We have reviewed everything (some photos for you below) and have approved to start of production. We expect production to be complete by the end of September. This means we are a wee bit behind schedule as the factory is working through a backlog due to the COVID shutdowns over the last few months.  We expect fulfillment to be closer to February as a result.  

Reminder

BackerKit has soft-closed. You will are still able to access and adjust your pledge using your original survey link.

If you haven't filled out your survey yet, don't panic! We encourage you to get it done as quickly as you can, but this delay will not endanger or delay your pledge unless you leave it until closer to the fulfillment date.

If you need to make changes after your pledge is locked (such as add-ons, or a new shipping address), this is also still fine. Please email [email protected] with the details and we will be glad to help.

Quick production update: eProofs have been approved so now the factory will work on color proofs and white box samples for us to review! 

BackerKit will bill and soft-close pledges for all completed surveys Thursday. You will still be able to access and adjust, using your original survey link.

Status Update: Closing Survey END OF MAY - May 31st!

Hey there, pioneers!

We wanted to pop in with a reminder that all backer surveys have been sent and we plan to close the Pledge Manager at the end of the month, May 31st.

As for production prep, Nick and Sydney and the team have been hard at work looking over the eproofs of the files from the printer and that means we’re closing in on going to print! 

We want to make sure everything is looked over and printed correctly - so this is a delicate time for them. We expect everything to finish up smoothly, and we’ll keep you all up-to-date as we get closer to printing.

Pledge Manager Launching This Week! Smoke Test Today!

Hey there, pioneers! 

It's just about time to send out backer surveys! We have decided to go with BackerKit for this project so please check out the information below!

BackerKit Launch:

A small percentage of backers will be sent surveys first as an initial "smoke test" of the system. Barring any issues, the remainder will be sent soon thereafter.

The Smoke Test will start later today. For those who are unfamiliar, these go out to 5% of the backers to make sure everything is operating properly in the surveys. We will be sending out the rest of the surveys once we confirm that there are no hiccups.

If you want to adjust your pledge or add on any additional items, this is your chance!  Everyone who pledged for at least $1 during the campaign should see the option to "switch your pledge level" when you start your survey.

Your payment for shipping, and any additional items you added, will be collected this week.

We hope this pledge manager will be fairly straightforward, but please email us at [email protected] if you have any questions after receiving your survey.

You did it, pioneers!

The campaign may be over but work continues! Now we begin proofing and finalizing files with the factory so we can get our first samples made. 

We cannot thank you enough, our backers and supporters, for believing in this project and helping us bring it to tables everywhere. 

So, what happens next?

Your credit card should be charged, but if there is an issue, please work with Kickstarter to get that resolved.  Unfortunately, we cannot assist there since we have no direct access to the payment processing.  If your card declines for any reason, be sure to work with Kickstarter to resolve ASAP!

Assuming your card works (and it does for almost everyone), you all get to relax now. Keep an eye out for the backer survey email which will come to you in about two-three weeks. (Late April) That's a critical step in completing your pledge. When you get the backer survey from BackerKit - please complete it as soon as possible!

You will be able to upgrade or add to your pledge in the pledge manager once you get your access link.

If you see a late backer button on the campaign page, do not use that if you backed on Kickstarter or you will have 2 pledges. We will be locking down changes about 30-45 days after the pledgemanager opens as we need to get numbers for each region as soon as we can, and start the long process of getting rewards to regional distribution centers and then on to you!

Though the campaign is done, we still have a lot of very important updates to come. So please stay tuned and check in on this project regularly. We will be posting regular updates, keeping you all informed - and involved - in the process. We will still be reading comments and checking our messages. So if you have any questions, please ask.
